Skin on Skin is the second series in an ongoing project exploring movement.

The project won the series category

of the 2008 AOP Assistants Awards

Collaborators

Skin on Skin was shot over two days in the studio in collaboration with four dancers:

Daniel Jones - an experienced choreographer and leading soloist of the English National Ballet

Vena Ramphal - a choreographer and dancer who specialises in classical and contemporary south asian dance

Mohammed Dordoh - director of the Semekor Performing Arts and teacher at the African Academy of Arts in Ghana

Kei Akahoshi - first artist of the English National Ballet and an award winning Japanese ballet dancer

Each image from the series is a limited edition of 12.

AOP Assistant Awards

The Association of Photographers Assistants Awards showcases the best of the next generation of professional photographers. Judged by specialist from the photographic world, the exhibition features the work of 35 Assistant Members including the AOP Assistant of the Year, from over 750 entrants.
